Happy Day!

The sun is shinier
The rain is more refreshing
Life is more lively
Every August 2.

Is it the ultimate in vanity to write a love poem to your own birthday?

    1. Thank you...I, um, actually do make a month long thing out of it. When my husband and I were first dating, I would use it when he would get frustrated with me..."but this is my birthday month." That he thought that was funny was how I knew he was the one.

  5. I think writing a poem to yourself on your birth is one of the best ideas I've heard...I am going to write one for myself..I have an idea for you...every morning...pat yourself on the back before someone brings you back down to reality.

happy, happy birthday...and oh yeah...Roll Tide...Awesome school...awesome people...but where did the elephant come from?

    1. Thank you and Roll Tide! I need to pat my back more often.

I had heard that a salesman had given the football players a keychain with an elephant on it and they adopted it as a good-luck charm. That may be an urban legend, though.

Hi! Thank you for the visit! Grab a plate and a sweet tea and let's dig in. It may take a while, but I always try to reply and return visits.
