I Love You Carl Kolchack
I Love You Carl Kolchack
Although, as a child
I was afraid of scary
monsters and other
night creatures I really loved
me some fucking Nightstalker.
I had to google it, as well. Now I gotta see if it's on NetFlix.
In my memory at least, nothing ever really seems to top the shows from my childhood -- Cosby, Three's Company, Growing Pains, Night Tracks, Charles In Charge, Growing Pains, CHiPs, WKRP, old school SNL.
Please allow me to introduce you to Carl Kolchak. "The Night Stalker" started as an ABC movie of the week and can be seen on YouTube here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zAy8v0FMoAM. This is the most serious of both movies and the series. The sequel was "The Night Strangler" and can be seen on You Tube here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUfYRiLvc78. It has more of the humor that you see in the series. The series was called "Kolchak: The Night Stalker" and can be found on You Tube and Netflix. The series is delightfully cheesy and has some pretty interesting comments on 70's society. ((I would not advise watching the Stuart Townsend reboot. It's not fun, and it seemed to me like it wanted to be "The X Files." If i had never seen the original, or "The X Files" I am still not sure if I would like the remake. (although Darren McGavin has a cameo in the first episode.) )) The order of the episode are as follows:
The Ripper 2The Zombie 3They Have Been, They Are, They Will Be.. 4The Vampire 5The Werewolf 6Firefall 7The Devil's Platform 8Bad Medicine 9The Spanish Moss Murders 10The Energy Eater 11Horror in the Heights 12Mr. R.I.N.G. 13Primal Scream 14The Trevi Collection 15Chopper 16Demon in Lace 17Legacy of Terror 18The Knightly Murders 19The Youth Killer 20The Sentry
I loved this show and then grew very afraid of the dark. I rediscovered horror in my late teens, and then couldn't handle it when I became pregnant with my daughter. I'm getting back into now.
you know i never heard of this...looked it up...did you know it inspired x-files....i am intrigued...wonder if i can find some episodes online....

Thanks for the feedback, buddy. I don't see my female-self clearly, so it helps to have others tell me what they think. Hope all's well in your world.

Deletelol love that enthusiasm. As a child I loved horror but of course I got scared. I still get overly scared so I don't watch it as much.
