This was inspired by some tweets I read today that then lead me to an article about Tim Allen whining.

  1. I would think if one could collect even a few of these wonderful things to call their own, their lives would be very full. I certainly would not complain, and don't with the ones that I have. Nice things to think about Heidi:)

  2. sobering and honest...we do tend to take them for granted until they are taken from us...

  3. Great list - reminds me a little of George Carlin's last great comment on Rights v Privileges. Wonderful, esp the closing line perspective.

    1. Thanks! I think you mentioned the one Carlin thing that I can't immediately recall. I am going to go have a listen. I'm blushing with the comparison...George was brilliant.

  4. For some reason, this made me think of Phil Collins' "Another Day In Paradise."

    1. When I was in school and working as a teacher's assistant, privilege was one of the harder concepts for some of the students to grasp, and they were well intentioned and trying and clueless. Some of the frustration of trying to teach the concept came out here. That, and Tim Allen is an ass.

  6. Heidi, a great reminder. Timely too in this topsy turvy world. And I love it that Life, freedom and health make your top three.

  7. Too true Heidi - we really don't appreciate what we have until it's gone.

  8. I am rather like Eeyore at times so I sometimes get bogged down in the negatives. Excellent =)

    1. It is way to easy to get stuck, and then get blamed for being stuck. I am glad you liked it.

Hi! Thank you for the visit! Grab a plate and a sweet tea and let's dig in. It may take a while, but I always try to reply and return visits.
