Almost Past My Block

I think my toastiness is fading. I was able to write a poem and I have been working on my latest Wordle, but it is slow coming. I decided to take this morning to catch up reading some links to prompts that I wished I had written for, but missed. I may still write for them and post here, but I think I have learned my lesson. I won't try to catch up, read and respond to other links, and respond to comments all in one Sunday (or Tuesday as the case may be.) I am also trying to figure out Chirbit because I think it may be fun to post me reading my stuff up here. So far, I can't get the little player to work here, although sometimes the link does, and sometimes it doesn't, and the Twitter link seems to work. If any of y'all are familiar with inserting Chirbit into a Blogger/Blogspot blog and have some helpful hints, please do share.

Hope y'all are having a great day!

  2. yeah taking it all at once can take some major time. It's worth it, but you do basically have to forego everything else. I love recording a poetry reading for my work, I've never done chirbit, but have seen others who have and it normally comes out fine. i use audioboo, it's free for the basic package, which is all I've ever needed, it used to be super simple, but the new interface sometimes is glitchy but overall it's a lot of fun to add the extra dimension to the poetry.

    1. Hi Fred! I am having to figure out a schedule. I have posted some micropoems on twitter using the cinquain form. You inspired me to pick a new short form and tweet a new poem a day for a week using that form (so thanks!) I find that tweeting micropoems gets habit forming quickly and doesn't seem to bring about the same kind of fatigue.

The Chirbit is working okay, but you have to click a link that opens a new page and then hit play. I think I am going to want an embedded player. I will check out audioboo-thanks for the info.

    1. I am going to have to look that up on youtube! I have a huge crush on the german language (and the accents.) Sadly all I can say is Ich heiße Heidi; ich bin Americana(er?) und spreche nicht gut deutch; ich liebe dich, and I can say the german for dishwasher, but I don't know how to spell it. (gesesspuller machiner?) Thanks for coming by.

  4. Hope it goes well with Chirbit...I've not used it. It sounds like a great idea. I've been thinking of doing a similar thing.

    1. Hi and welcome to the lasagna! I haven't gotten a response from them as to why the embedded player won't work on my blog, but I can put in a link that can be clicked and will open a new page with a player that works. I think that it may be too much trouble, but I am going to go with it for now and checkout audioboo. I think I may want to practice a little more before I make it easy for people to listen to me. Thanks for coming by, and I really enjoyed your blog.

Hi! Thank you for the visit! Grab a plate and a sweet tea and let's dig in. It may take a while, but I always try to reply and return visits.
