My Son

Watching
Eli play with
his toys, singing a song
he made up, filling my days with
his light.

I went off prompt today. I couldn't find an anagram that I liked. So while I was waiting for something to write this is what I saw. I hope that you like it.

  1. This is excellent - brief, succinct, economical with language - yet precise, very descriptive and conveying the intended(?) emotion. I think it's lovely.

    1. Thank you. It was one of those moments where I was thinking about what to write when I was distracted by what he was doing. He's three and it was very sweet and this kind of wrote itself.

  2. so sweet and beautiful. I love listening to a child sing, especially when they don't know you're listening.

    1. He has an eclectic taste in music and likes to make up his own songs which often feature him and are very funny.

  3. Innocent joy is marvelous to observe, as is a mother's love for her child. Nice.

Hi! Thank you for the visit! Grab a plate and a sweet tea and let's dig in. It may take a while, but I always try to reply and return visits.
