Day Two of the challenge is here, and today's challenge was to write about the stars. I am rather mushy about my star sign. I love that old lion, and I thought it was time I wrote about him. I chose the Collum Lune because I really like the form and they are what I want to write.

As I have said earlier, I am also doing Camp NaNoWriMo. I have committed to 10,000 words for April, and I am including my NaPo poems in that count. I decided to try to participate in both because I see super-writey in April. Along with my poetry, I also wrote out a couple of stories with the intention of picking one and submitting it to ArcLight Stories in Birmingham. They hold storytelling events similar to The Moth. I picked one the story I wrote about my son's birth and submitted it for their May event. I'll let you know if I am selected to perform it.  In all, I wrote over 1,000 words yesterday. If only I could be this writey in November when the goal is to write a whole honking novel!

  1. I'm just now learning how to find Leo. Orion is always the easiest for me to spot. I like to point it out anytime I'm having a conversation at night outdoors with a female. (Which happens maybe once a month.) They usually pretend to be impressed, then work to quickly change the subject.

    1. Thanks Bone! Orion is the only one that I can ever find. I used to could find Cassiopeia, but a lot of stars look like w's.

    1. Thanks Barry! I like Leo, but I can't ever find him in the sky. I need Togo back to the planetarium.

    1. Thanks Buddah! Alive...I like that. You're going to make me re-read my poem now.

    1. Thanks Audrey. You know how some people have a time of the day, or week when they're most productive writing? For me that seems to be April.

  5. Leo's are pretty special aren't they (she said modestly)? (This from one of us to another - and if I remember correctly we share the same date as well!)

    1. Hey sweet Anna!

Leos are the awesome-ist! Actually, mine is the day before, but you are eight hours ahead of me, so we end up celebrating at the same time. :)

Hi! Thank you for the visit! Grab a plate and a sweet tea and let's dig in. It may take a while, but I always try to reply and return visits.
